USP <797> Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Processing Training Program
This certificate program for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians is a comprehensive practice based educational activity designed to provide didactic and hands-on training allowing the participants to develop knowledge and skills necessary to compound sterile products safely and effectively.
USP <800> Training for Proper Handling of Hazardous Drugs
Hazardous drugs (HDs) require safe and responsible handling for you and your team, whether medical, nursing, or pharmacy. USP <800> standards provide oversight guidance on best practices for compounding HDs. This program reviews current and proposed regulations and recommends best practices concerning all aspects of handling HDs.
- APhA’s Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services
Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services certificate training program is an active learning seminar in which learners practice a variety of communication techniques to elicit a patient’s medication experience and identify medication-related problems, using cases based on the real-life experiences of MTM providers. Learners will gain experience interviewing patients, identifying and prioritizing medication-related problems, developing and implementing interventions, and documenting activities. In addition, learners will have the opportunity to explore various business models and billing strategies and discuss plans for implementation. Additional preseminar self-study modules, case studies, hands-on patient interviews, and assessment practice sessions, will allow pharmacists to obtain the clinical knowledge and skills needed to establish medication therapy management services.
